Awesome Book!

This book was a pleasure to read. The history was well researched. The author knows his subject well. That is always a plus for me. The action was endless. I love that. The characters were relatable. There was never a lull in the book. I could not put it down. When is the next one in this series coming out?

apprehensions

Before I purchased HMS Seawolf I wondered how my allegiance to the colonies ( USA) would deal with, the attacking by the English. Having read the first book and previous battles against privateers and such I had formed bonds with the characters. I thought reading about their deaths would be very hard to take. On the other hand to read of a defeat to the fledgling colonists would have been even more difficult. By keeping the battles focus more on the privateer aspect, rather than the colonists, I was able to remain on the side of Lord Anthony. It was a great read with action, suspense, resurrection. Hearts were touched in all ways. Well done.

A compelling yarn

Reading a Michael Aye book is like listening to an old salt as he reminisces. The stories are bold, brutal, and authentic; they never fail to entertain, and are written with a pace and style that is eminently suited to this genre. Sadly he has been let down in one small area; his publishers have not gone the extra mile in ensuring that the text is free from grammatical errors: a sign of our times, I'm afraid. But that should in no way lessen the pleasure derived from this, or any of his books; they are gritty, real and very enjoyable.
